NOTES.

According to the Will of Margaret BODENHAM, 1589, Thomas had children, but was not properly married to Elizabeth. I think the spelling of her surname was ‘LAMPTON’, but I am not sure. Two of the children seem to be stated in the parish record for Minsterworth, but not the others, and of course there could be even more. I can find no further record of the family as yet. Children being born in 1575 and as late as 1600 to a same-name father is somewhat suspicious. 25 years is a long time for a wife to be of child-bearing ability. But the wife is not named, so another construction might apply to this sheet. However, further sheets/records indicate that this particular construction is not critical to the overall picture, some other interpretation not changing anything of consequence.

* This last child, Thomas, is also indicated on BOD -8/ 1 as possibly a son of the son ‘Thomas’ shown there. The date makes that association perhaps more likely than this one.
