NOTES:- On the marriage licence, Thomas, the father, is a ‘Fisherman’, and the surname is spelled ‘BODNAM’.

* I believe John BODENHAM, above, born 1759, moved to Gloucester, (possibly with other ‘BODENHAM’s’) and ‘married Mary’, as shown on sheet BOD -2/ 1. He would not have been included in any census, but both he and Elizabeth died in Gloucester. **See the 1851 Census sheets regarding this page. I believe that this record documents the movement of Elizabeth Bodenham (Spinster), and in so doing, seems to corroborate my theory that the Bodenham family split up from Minsterworth at some time in the 1700’s, and one branch moved into Gloucester, whilst the other branch moved to the Arlinghham/Harescombe area. Elizabeth is shown as living with a relative in Gloucester, who probably had to guess her exact age & and suggested ‘80’ when in fact she was 83, but perhaps at 83 Elizabeth was too far gone to be very closely questioned, or just refused to acknowledge her true age.
