This information on this sheet is deduced from the Will of John in 1608, in conjunction with other Wills and the beginning of Parish Records for Minsterworth.
The age of John, the father, is estimated, based upon the fact that he had fathered 7 children by the time of the writing of Margaret’s Will in 1589. In his own Will of 1608 John seems to be leaving his Ship’s Carpenter’s Tools to his son Thomas, thus indicating his trade.
* It is possible that this son ‘Thomas’ lived in Arlingham, with wife Katherine nee Eastingtowne, sons Thomas bapt 1600 at Minsterworth, & Matthias bapt 1604 at Arlingham.
It is also just possible that father John was somehow connected to a marriage to a Joan Hyett and the birth of a daughter Marie at Awre in 1592, but the overall family genealogy is not materially affected either way.
