This family can be partly found on the 1841 &1851 censuses. In 1841, wife and children are at home, but father William is absent, probably away at work, as a ‘mariner’. In 1851 the remaining family unit is present, except for those who have either died, or have already left home for other occupations.
In 1881, only William senior is to be found, at 76, now called a ‘labourer’, and by this time he is living in Newnham in the house of his daughter, Sarah Ann, now married to a William Smith, with family of their own.
*William’s marriage to Jane not yet found. They apparently had 3 daughters. Florence Angela b. 1863(2) m. 1910(4) atWandsworth; Clarissa Jessie/Jessie Clarissa b. 1865(2), m.1906(1) at Wandsworth; and Annie Kate b. 1867(4) at Wheatenhurst, m. 1890(4) at Gloucester. Separate sheet not prepared for these.
Therefore no known further BODENHAM progeny from this family, so far.
